Sulla conoscenza irrazionale dell'oggetto (On the Irrational Acquaintance of the Object)  is the ending of Tracce Verso il Nulla, (Traces to Nowhere),  that Gruppo Nanou has realized within MOVING_movimento 2007, promoted by Fabbrica Europa; Festival Santarcangelo dei Teatri; Giardino Chiuso / Teatro dei Leggieri, San Gimignano; Officina Giovani / Cantieri Culturali ex Macelli, Prato; Assessorato alla Cultura e
alle Politiche Giovanili del Comune di Prato

The  project has engaged the company for more than a year on themes and questions linked to: eroticism - beast - the erotic of the beast.

Two individuals inhabit a space without context.
The set is simple: only few essentials object are visible.
The body and the word retract to recover a bestiality that is essential of the human being, commonly masked, partially hidden: curved actors explore a space that is familiar and hostile, probably dangerous. These are bestial humans, exposing a vision, deformed masks.
The word, phoné, is a vocal action that does not have its narrative element.
The word is swollen, as told in reverse order.

The sound is action: it amplifies the theatrical experience; it is out of ambient. The sound fills space and time. It orchestrate, from a vibrato rial point of view, both the dense and the empty spaces in the room.
The set is a place that amplifies the action, what the actors are representing.
Visions emerges thanks to what is happening in the gallery. Here visions are mainly linked to themes that are revelation - eroticism - beast - the erotic of the beast.
The story is told as masked, told with symbols and gestures. This body motion is woven in complex combinations.

Bodies do not represent anything: they appear as a whole in different places and times. They usually act, so they are not seen as symbols. In this way the point of view is other from the self, out of the body. This opens additional temporal and physical spaces.

In front of the eyes there is a mysterious puzzle of illusions  and a scaring and multifaceted universe.


Gruppo Nanou
Founded in Ravenna in 2003 as a space of comparison and revaluation of the skills, the interests in research and the activities of a group of young artists.
The inclusion of the group's first production, Kostia, in the final of the Premio Scenario (2003), fused the artistic association of the group's founding members: Marco Valerio Amico, Rhuena Bracci and Roberto Rettura. These artists are active in different artistic fields and are involved in productions and collaborations with other important national groups. In 2005 they created Namoro, coproduced by City Arts in Dublin, which won the special prize in the competition GD'A-Giovani Danz'Autori 2004/2005. The group has participated in a number of contemporary dance showcases, including Danae (Milan), Interplay (Turin) and Santarcangelo dei Teatri (Santarcangelo). Their 2006 creation Desert-Inn was shown at the Festival Ammutinamenti in Ravenna and at the Teatro Comunale in Ferrara. In 2007 the group has worked on the development of the project Sulla conoscenza irrazionale dell'oggetto. Always in 2007 their production Motel is among the finalists of the Competition Equilibrio of Rome.
