Children too can suffer from diabetes.
In the World Diabetes Year in children and adolescents, the Fondazione Fabbrica Europa in collaboration with the Meyer Children's Hospital Foundation devotes the closing evening of the festival to an initiative that involves various cultural structures working in the area.
The proceeds of the evening will go to the Meyer Children's Hospital Foundation for the Regional Centre for Paediatric Diabetology at the Meyer Hospital.
Over the past few years, the Meyer Hospital of Florence has become a point of excellence in Italian medicine for children. With the new hospital, new prospects have opened with the opportunity to increase scientific skill and develop an extraordinary technological platform. All this in an avant-garde architectural context, where eco-compatibility and the care offered to the child and his family become central points in the commitment not only of all the hospital staff but also of the whole town, involved right across the spectrum in achieving aims that are more and more ambitious.
The Fabbrica della Musica is a great non-stop concert with the participation of many personalities from the artistic and musical scenes in Tuscany. A festa or party, therefore, with surprise guests whose willing support and generosity have shown their appreciation of the importance of this initiative, making the evening a unique event thanks to performances both new and from a classical repertory. The whole of the Stazione Leopolda thus becomes one large stage alive with music, exceptional guests and delightful entertainment.
A festa to thank the whole city for the attention and affection it has always shown to the Meyer Hospital, and, at the same time, to promote fund-raising for the Meyer Children's Hospital Foundation for the support of the Meyer Regional Centre for Diabetology in Children.
