Hamlet finds himself in a room and lives out his story in complete solitude.  The events, the characters fall in front of his eyes. Against his will and contrary to his desires, he must confront them and take decisions.  The tragedy lies in the fact that he must live out his story alone.  While bringing the well-known Shakespearean dynamics to the stage, the characters that he talks to are in fact absent.  Hamlet has the troubles of everyone in his head.  Polonius, King Claudius, Ophelia, Laertes, the mother Gertrude, the actors of the touring company, are all missing from the chairs that are his sole companions on the stage.  His only real company comes from the ghost of his father that keeps him informed of what really happens.
The story is recognised by everyone: the Shakespearean text is taken apart and reintroduced onto the stage through a soliloquy that recounts the progression of the drama until death.
Hamlet carries his own epigraph from the start; the words of Fortebraccio will be heard once again to finish a story that repeats itself from the moment when Hamlet understands that he must step towards the choices waiting for him. The empty chairs will be the only witnesses of his experience.

For the rest, it is still possible to add something.
For the rest, is it still possible to add something to a work that is a theatrical myth?  We have tried to get close to the dramatic nucleus of the play through various workshops but were faced at every turn with the obsessive and melancholy quality of the Shakespearean language.  We discovered that we were close to a mystery that we could not completely unfold.  A tragedy that escapes analysis or perhaps that absorbs all analyses while telling the story of a man who accepts nothing. He remains the mystery of a human being shut in the room of memory and of images that assail him and from which he can't wait to be free.
The fabulous intensity of an unsustainable personal utopia.
