national première

Presented in the form of studies in the two previous seasons, Il ponte di pietra (The stone bridge) reaches its final staging after an in-depth discussion between Giancarlo Cauteruccio and Daniel Danis on the reasons of the word, on violence and the salvific action of the theatre.
Sharing a love for the theatre of poetry and for work on light, and fascinated by artistic creation through experimenting with the use of particular illumino-technical systems, the two artists have developed a new approach to the staging of the text that highlights the archetypes of childhood and innocence as opposed to the harshness of history.

Two children, Momo and Mung, are the main characters in this story without time or place. They tell of having left their families, who gave them into the care of a stranger in exchange for money in order to get them away from a war zone and so save them. Thus they become slaves in a carpet factory. Both carry with them a memento of their own relations: Mung has an animal skin, a gift from her grandmother, on which she must continue to weave the legend of her family; Momo has an idea: the desire to build bridges as his forefathers had done before him.
One day, there is an explosion in the factory and the children manage to escape. Together, between dream and reality, they explore the world seeking for a "place without war"; together, they learn to understand themselves and to withstand suffering. Together they invent a new world.

The performance will take place also at 23.00h.
