An evening with three different works, three pièces created at different times but with the same vocation, aligned one with the other by a single vision and listening experience. 4 little swans, Variazione N°, La Sagra della Primavera, follow the shared route of a reflection on the "practice of dancing" and how this projects an image, structured as it always is by composition or choreography.Three works that set out from historical references: the famous choreography of the four swans in Petipa's Swan Lake; the form of composition called variation, present in every ballet, where the main female character, the Etoile, demonstrates all her expressive and technical ability; and lastly, the most famous and scandalous musical score in the history of dancing, The Rite of Spring, written by Stravinskij in 1912. Two of these creations are already part of the young company's repertoire (Variazione N° of 2007 and La Sagra della Primavera of 2008), plus a new creation (4 little swans), to music composed by Jimmy Gelli, which all use ballet codes as the living material onto which glides a bodily presence, muscular practice and the appearance of an emotional statement, thus assisting the rhythmic advance of the transition from the far to the near.
