An occupation of which I never tire: to watch
I love all the scenarios; the settings, characters, situations
Michelangelo Antonioni

Written in the form of a road movie, this piece is a visual poem that develops through different media- filmed images, choreography, music- that evoke the city and its pulsations, the passers-by and the energy crossing bodies in a perpetual game, live and powerful.
To go towards, to come from... The problem of how to go towards the place we are coming from.  Where do you go and from where do you arrive?  How do you reach the other bank?
It is a simple question of bridges, there is nothing for it but to build a bridge, no more, no less....
Possible bridges between the past and present, a constant coming and going between image, dance, music and spectator. Corporeal volume always in evolution and in relation to its surrounding space.  A bridge between reality and fantasy, between artist and public, between this world and the other world, between ancient and modern, between violence and comedy, between interior and exterior... two opposite shores, that find links and relationships in a bridge.  The bridges are envisioned like the veins carrying nutrients; the bridges allow movement and migration; they unite the two banks... And our gaze on the world, and the movement of things and people towards us, and the passing of time above and outside the scene.
Dance, music, light, costume, image and sound must live together and at the same time, have an independent life, whether in creation or in the relationship with the audience.
[...] In this performance the choreography is constructed like a film: cuts, flashbacks, sensory dilation, refinement of perceptions, finally distilling the essence of an emotion, that is to say, a movement of being.

Silenda

Laura Simi and Damiano Foà come from Florence. They currently live in Cannes where they founded their company, Silenda.  They became performer for other choreographers after having met important figures in dance such as Alwin Nikolais, Martha Graham, Hans Zullig and Kazuo Ohno.  In 1991 they settled in France.  They began to create pieces including Festina Lente (prizewinner for best solo at the Calgliari Competition).  Subsequently they realised the trio Affrettati Lentamente that won the Grand Prix SACD at Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales di Bagnolet, Seine-Saint Denis.  After a long tour, they worked on several residences following their career as performers.  They collaborated with a range of choreographers including Catherine Diverrei and Olivier Gelpe.  They participated in two editions of SKITE, an international workshop for artists created by Jean Marc Adolphe.  They have made around 15 pieces: Andar sentendo, Façades en course, Frammenti di sempre, Personne, Hidden Orchestras, Il grande dentro, Two figures in a room...  Foà (as when he works for other choreographers) also works on sound and light for his creations.  Simi has danced in La Mada'a, a piece by Eric Lamoureux and Héla Fattoumi.
